Emmanuel Alejandro Sibilla Oropesa, born on May 24, 1974, in Villahermosa, Tabasco, is a distinguished Mexican journalist renowned for his significant contributions to radio broadcasting. From an early age, he exhibited a passion for communication, obtaining his broadcaster's license during his final year of secondary school in 1992. He pursued higher education in Communication Sciences at Universidad Anáhuac del Sur in Mexico City from 1994 to 1997, where he demonstrated academic excellence and leadership, serving as President of the Communication Students' Society and earning a place on the Rector's Honor Roll.
Sibilla's professional journey is deeply intertwined with "Telereportaje," a flagship news program founded by his father, Jesús Antonio Sibilla Zurita, in 1958. This program, known for its comprehensive news coverage and community engagement, has been a staple in Tabasco's media landscape. In 2000, alongside his siblings, Emmanuel acquired XEVT 970 AM, Tabasco's first radio station, transitioning it to 104.1 FM, where he currently serves as Director of News and Programming.
As the host of "Telereportaje," Sibilla continues the legacy of delivering timely news, conducting in-depth interviews, and addressing social issues. His commitment to journalism has been recognized with the National Journalism Award in 2013.
