WKSU Classical is a public radio station located in Kent, Ohio, United States. It is owned and operated by Kent State University and broadcasts a classical music format. The station is affiliated with National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Radio International (PRI). WKSU Classical is one of the few classical music stations in the United States that is still independently owned and operated. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and features a variety of classical music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern eras. It also features live performances from local and national orchestras, chamber ensembles, and soloists. In addition, WKSU Classical offers news and information programs from NPR and PRI, as well as locally produced programs such as "Classical Connections" and "The Cleveland Orchestra Live." WKSU Classical is committed to providing its listeners with the highest quality classical music programming available.
