WCPE TheClassicalStation is a non-commercial, listener-supported, classical music radio station located in Wake Forest, North Carolina. It is owned and operated by the Educational Information Corporation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is available worldwide via streaming audio on the Internet. WCPE is one of the few classical music stations in the United States that is commercial-free.

The station was founded in 1978 by William J. "Bill" O'Briant, a former professor of music at Wake Forest University. O'Briant was inspired by the success of WFMT in Chicago, and wanted to create a similar station in North Carolina. The station began broadcasting on April 1, 1978, with a signal of only 1,000 watts.

WCPE broadcasts a wide variety of classical music, from Baroque to contemporary. The station also features live performances from local and international artists, as well as interviews with composers and performers. WCPE also broadcasts news and information about classical music, including reviews of new recordings and upcoming concerts.

In addition to its broadcast signal, WCPE is available worldwide via streaming audio on the Internet. The station also produces a number of podcasts, including "The Classical Music Hour" and "The Classical Music Minute." WCPE also produces a weekly program, "The Classical Music Show," which is broadcast on public radio stations across the United States.
