RTÉ Radio 1

RTÉ Radio 1 is the principal radio channel of Irish public-service broadcaster Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). It is the most listened-to radio station in Ireland, with an average market share of 18.2% in 2019. It broadcasts a mixed programming of music, news, sport, talk and other features. It is available on FM, DAB, Saorview, Virgin Media Ireland, Sky Ireland and online.

The station broadcasts in both English and Irish, with the majority of programming in English. It is the only radio station in Ireland to broadcast in both languages. It is also the only radio station in Ireland to broadcast a daily news bulletin in Irish.

RTÉ Radio 1 is the home of the Irish national radio news service, RTÉ News Now, which broadcasts hourly news bulletins throughout the day. It also broadcasts a range of other programmes, including current affairs, sports, music, drama, comedy, documentaries and features.

The station is also home to some of Ireland's most popular radio shows, including The Ray D'Arcy Show, The Ryan Tubridy Show, The John Murray Show, The Marian Finucane Show and The Late Late Show.
