Newstalk

Newstalk is an Irish independent national radio station, owned by Communicorp and operated by NewsTalk 106-108 FM Ltd. It broadcasts a mix of news, current affairs, talk and sport. It is available nationally on FM, DAB, Saorview, Sky and Virgin Media Ireland. It is also available online and on mobile.

Newstalk was launched in 2002 and is based in Dublin. It is the only national radio station in Ireland that is independent of the public service broadcaster, RTÉ. It is also the only national radio station in Ireland that is not owned by a media conglomerate.

Newstalk's programming is mainly news and talk-based, with a focus on current affairs and political issues. It also broadcasts a range of sports programmes, including live coverage of GAA matches. It also broadcasts a range of music programmes, including the popular 'Newstalk Breakfast' show.
