بعد اكتساح ميدان القنوات التلفزيونية توجّهت MBC إلى حقل المحطات الإذاعية، وتطلق أول إذاعة خاصة في المملكة العربية السعودية هي إذاعة MBC FM. نجحت MBC FM في تقديم نكهة إذاعية خاصة تناسب أذواق وقيم المجتمع السعودي، والتي تجمع بين الموسيقى والنغم الخليجي، جنبا إلى جنب مع الترفيه والشعر.<br/>لذا لم يكن مفاجئا أن تستأثر MBC FM بنحو الحصة الأكبر من السوق الاعلانية في السعودية نظرا لكونها المحطة الإذاعية رقم واحد في المملكة.
