WERU Community Radio is a non-commercial, listener-supported, volunteer-driven radio station located in East Orland, Maine. It broadcasts a diverse mix of music, news, and public affairs programming to the midcoast and Downeast Maine region. The station is committed to providing a platform for local and independent voices, and to creating a space for dialogue and community engagement. WERU is a member of the National Federation of Community Broadcasters and the Maine Association of Broadcasters. The station is also a proud supporter of the Maine Music Alliance, the Maine Association of Nonprofits, and the Maine Association of Community Radio Stations. WERU is dedicated to providing a wide range of programming that reflects the interests and concerns of its listeners. From folk and blues to jazz and world music, WERU offers something for everyone.
