WESU 88.1 Middletown, CT is a non-commercial, educational radio station located in Middletown, Connecticut. It is owned and operated by Wesleyan University and broadcasts a variety of music, news, and public affairs programming. WESU is a member of the Pacifica Radio Network and is affiliated with National Public Radio (NPR).

The station was founded in 1939 as a carrier current station, broadcasting at a frequency of 600 kHz. In the 1950s, the station was granted a license to broadcast at 88.1 MHz, and in the 1960s, the station was granted a license to broadcast at 10 watts. In the 1970s, the station was granted a license to broadcast at 100 watts.

WESU's programming includes a variety of music genres, including jazz, blues, folk, rock, hip-hop, and world music. The station also broadcasts news and public affairs programming, including NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered.
