The station was launched in 2006 and is based in Hilversum. It is one of the most popular radio stations in the Netherlands, with an average of 1.2 million listeners per week. The station plays a mix of current and classic hits from the Dutch Top 40 chart, as well as some international hits. It also features interviews with artists and DJs, and news updates.
